Aesthetic cosmetics brand FAU Co., Ltd. announced on the 1st that it had carried out its “Love Briquette Sharing Volunteer Campaign” to help vulnerable households stay warm during the winter season.
On the 28th of last month, FAU donated 1,500 coal briquettes to the Seoul Briquette Bank to support the winter heating needs of underprivileged families in the Daragwon area of Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province.
FAU CEO Mihwa Choi, together with company employees and around 20 FAU Pro members (aesthetic skincare clinic owners), took part in the activity and visited households in urgent need of heating support.
The volunteer group spent about two hours carrying and delivering briquettes along narrow alleys and steep slopes where vehicles could not enter, working up a sweat as they moved them by hand.
Each briquette weighs approximately 3.65 kg and can provide around 10 hours of heat, making it an essential energy source in winter for vulnerable households burdened by high heating costs.
With the prolonged economic downturn and rising briquette prices, corporate donations of briquettes have declined, further increasing the burden on households that rely on briquette heating.
FAU recognized this reality and organized the briquette-sharing volunteer activity in collaboration with the Babsang Community Briquette Bank.
FAU Pro aesthetic clinic owners actively participated in the initiative.
They voluntarily pooled part of their own funds to support the briquette donation and personally visited briquette-heated households to deliver the briquettes and share warmth with their neighbors.
One FAU Pro owner who took part in the volunteer work said,
“By personally delivering briquettes to people who are struggling due to declining donation volumes, I felt a strong sense of responsibility and fulfillment as a member of this society.
I sincerely hope that each briquette we stacked will help them get through this winter, even if just a little.”
FAU CEO Mihwa Choi commented,
“We came together to deliver briquettes so that neighbors in need can stay warm.
Even though it may seem like a small gesture, we hope it will provide real support in helping them endure the cold winter.
As a company that grows together with the local community, FAU will continue to pursue CSR activities that contribute to local development and mutual coexistence.”
